The following photograph shows the Elizabeth Smith sampler dated 1762.  The original measures almost 8” wide by almost 11” high.  It is stitched on 40 count linen over 2 threads in Pearsall’s silks.  It is a unique opportunity to stitch this beautiful sampler and to learn of its history.
